SPIDER MAN INSPIRES ME , N HOW ?

I am inspired by spider man. Am I kidding ? No I aint. There is a spider man in all of us. We simply don’t realize it or should I say we don’t want to realize it. How many times have you behaved so rudely that it could put all the sins to the shame? Then when you realized it , you were so guilty that you just wished if someone could eat away you n thereby become invisible.

Mr.Ditkovitch is the owner of the house Peter Parker stays in. Ursula is Mr.Ditkovichs’ daughter

Peter Parker: (Peter has just returned from outside.Trying to open the door lock)

Mr. Ditkovitch: ( moping the floor ) hey Peter . (Respectfully) When are you gonna pay me the rent ?

Peter Parker: (angry look , yells at Mr Ditkovitch) I will pay you , once you get this God damn door repaired. ( Walks in)

Mr. Ditkovitch: (looks at Ursula. Ursula is shocked as well.)

Ursula: He shouldn’t have behaved that way

Mr. Ditkovitch: ( pointing to Peter’s room ) ( angry ..loud voice ) He is ( pause .. low voice) a good boy. I think he had a bad day.

You would have seen many days in your life where you would wake up only to take revenge. You had many sleepless nights. You yell at every small thing. You feel strong and good when you are angry. You feel like you could conquer the whole world with your anger and temper. You yell at your parents ,your loved ones who don’t even have a clue about what’s happening. Well that’s the black spidy in you.

All of those whom you yelled at , said the things that they never deserved , they all loved you. Yet you feel good and proud about it. But they don’t stop loving you. Because they know you are a good person. There is something going on with you. They forgive you.

Peter Parker: Oh, Mr. Ditkovitch!

Mr. Ditkovitch: An orange?

Peter Parker: No thanks. Look, I’m really sorry for what happened earlier. I shouldn’t have yelled about that door, it was nothing to be angry about.

Mr. Ditkovitch: Eh, it’s no big deal. If you feel that bad about it, you can buy me pizza some time - today’s good!

Peter Parker: …Okay.

Mr. Ditkovitch: Problem with the phone?

Peter Parker: No, it’s just… I was trying to figure out what to say.

Mr. Ditkovitch: If it’s a woman you’re calling, you say - “You’re good woman, I’m good man!”

Peter Parker: [confused stare]

Mr. Ditkovitch: Hmm?

Ursula: Hi Pete!

Peter Parker: Oh hi!

Mr. Ditkovitch: He’s calling a woman.

Ursula: Are you calling Mary Jane? I think that would be so…

Mr. Ditkovitch: It’s none of your business! Go! Go!

[to Peter]

Mr. Ditkovitch: Call!

A lot of time you stop thinking about how your love feels. You are very much interested in your success, your fame. But loose interest in what your loved one’s are going through. Your loved one’s are happy to see you happy. But reality is something different. We all humans have to have sometime alone. Sometime on their own. We all have our life. In every person’s life their comes a point where nothing else matters except for your success. Your happiness. You fail to feel the other person’s emotions. That’s the time when the strength in love is tested.

Crowd: [cheering] Kiss him! Kiss him!

Peter Parker: Go ahead, lay one on me!

Gwen Stacy: Really?

Peter Parker: Yeah! They’ll love it!

Child in Crowd: [covering eyes] Don’t do it, Spidey!

[Gwen pulls a part of Spider-Man’s mask down; they kiss]

Child in Crowd: Eww…

Mary Jane ( Spidy’s Girlfriend looks at all this )

Mary Jane Watson: That was OUR kiss!

Mary Jane Watson: Let me ask you something. When you kissed her, who was kissing her? Spider-man, or Peter?

Mary Jane Watson: Do you want to push me away?

Peter Parker: Push you away? Why would I want to push you away… I love you!

Later on Mary Jane comes to visit Peter.

Peter Parker: I don’t need your help.

Mary Jane Watson: Everybody needs help sometimes, Peter. Even Spider-Man.

Remember everybody needs help. The weakest to strongest. Everybody needs help sometime in life. So be helpful.

Peter’s aunt had given him the ring because he was wanted to propose Mary Jane.

Aunt May: How’s Mary Jane?

Peter Parker: I don’t know…

Aunt May: I never heard from you. Did you ever propose?

Peter Parker: You said a husband’s got to put his wife before himself.

[puts the ring in her hand]

Peter Parker: I’m not ready…

Aunt May: But what happened? You seemed so sure.

Peter Parker: Yeah… I uh… I hurt her, Aunt May. I don’t know what to do…

Aunt May: You start by doing the hardest thing, you forgive yourself. I believe in you, Peter. You’re a good person, and I know you’ll find a way to put it right.

[Places the ring on the TV]

Aunt May: In time…

“You start by doing the hardest thing, you forgive yourself” Its always easy to forgive others, but the hardest is to forgive yourself. You need to forgive yourself before you could forgive others.

There are lots of incidents that awakes the devil in us. Bomb blasts, suicide attacks. This n all on innocents. Why do we have to put up with all these? Why don’t we just blast these organizations? What’s the need for the talk ? We know that we could wipe of the entire terrorist organization including the internal banned groups which I don’t want to name. Why don’t we do it? Why don’t we simply launch a missile and blast the way through?

Well, the problem my friend is that we believe that hatred could only lead to more hatred.

Our nation strongly believes that 100 culprits can escape but one innocent should never be wrongly punished, because that could lead to 100 more culprits.

Peter and Aunt May are told that Sand man is the guy who killed his uncle Ben. Peter as black spidy kills the sand man and then comes to Aunt May.

Peter Parker: Flint Marko; the man who killed Uncle Ben, he was killed last night.

Aunt May: Oh my… What happened?

Peter Parker: Spider-Man killed him.

Aunt May: Spider-Man? I don’t understand, Spider-Man doesn’t kill people. What happened?

Peter Parker: I uh… he… he was… I thought that you’d feel… He deserved it, didn’t he?

Aunt May: I don’t think it’s for us to say wether a person deserves to live or die.

Peter Parker: Aunt May, he killed Uncle Ben!

Aunt May: Uncle Ben meant the world to us, but he wouldn’t want us living one second with revenge in our hearts. It’s like a poison. It can take you over, before you know it, turn you into something ugly…

Peter Parker after breaking off from Mary Jane dates Eddie Brock’s girl friend. Eddie looses the job to Peter

Eddie Brock: Please, I’m begging you. If you do this, I will lose everything. There’s not a paper in town that’ll hire me.

Peter Parker: You should have thought of that earlier.

Later on Eddie Brock’s becomes villain,

Peter Parker: Eddie… We can settle this…

Eddie Brock: you got a point there, Parker…

Eddie Brock: I’m thinking… Humiliation. Like what you did to me. You remember, Parker? Remember? You took my girl away from me. Now, I’m gonna take yours away from you.

Peter Parker: Eddie, it’s the suit. You’ve got to take it off.

Eddie Brock: Yeah, You’d like that, wouldn’t ya?

Peter Parker: I’ve been there, Eddie. The power; it feels good. But you’ll lose yourself to it. It’ll destroy you. Take the suit off Eddie, it’s not too late!

Eddie Brock: [“Thinking” about it] Nah… I like being *Bad*. It makes me… -HAPPY…

Harry and Peter are best pal’s but Harry always believed that Peter killed his father. In order to take revenge, Harry tries to take away Mary Jane from Peter. Mary Jane saddened by Peters behavior chooses Harry for the company. Its strange situation when we are rejected by someone we make decisions in haste. Like a creeper which just wants a tree, any tree to climb. Then we realize that we where wrong.

Peter ( as black spidy ) takes Harry on even though he is his best pal and hits him badly.

Later Mary Jane gets kidnapped by Eddie Brock and Sandman. Peter ( as good spidy ) goes to Harry.

Peter Parker: Harry! I need your help. I can’t take them both, not by myself.

Harry Osborn: [turns to reveal scars] You don’t deserve my help.

Peter Parker: Harry… she needs us.

Harry Osborn: Get out.

But then Harry realizes that spider man didn’t kill his father. Harry has to choose now. His best pal is in trouble. Will he allow his pride and anger or will he help Peter?

Peter fights with sand man.(Flint Marko)

Flint Marko: I didn’t want this. But I had no choice…

Peter Parker: We always have a choice. You had a choice when you killed my uncle.

Flint Marko: My daughter was dying, I needed money. I was scared. I told your uncle all I wanted was the car. He said to me ‘why dont you just put down the gun and go home?’ I realise now he was just trying to help me. Then I saw my partner running over with the cash… and the gun was in my hand… I did a terrible thing to you, I spent a lot of nights wishing I could take it back. I’m not asking you to forgive me, I just want you to understand.

Peter Parker: I’ve done terrible things too…

Flint Marko: I didn’t choose to be this. The only thing left of me now is my daughter.

Flint Marko: I’m not asking for your forgiveness. I just want you to understand.

Peter Parker: I forgive you.

Peter Parker: …I forgive you…

Sand man goes away. Sometimes its difficult to understand whats good and bad. Spider man could have fought with sand man but then knowing the intension of the sandman , he decides on not doing so. Its very important to forgive if it could kill the evil. Always give forgiveness a chance , because 50% of the problems can be solved only by just forgiving.

It’s the greatest tool. It reminds me of Graham Stuart Staines (1941-January 1999) was an Australian missionary who was burnt to death while he was sleeping with his two sons Timothy (aged 9) and Philip (aged 7) in his station wagon at Manoharpur village in Keonjhar district in Orissa, India in January 1999. In 2003, the Hindu activist Dara Singh was convicted of leading the gang.

Graham Staines had been working in Orissa among the tribal poor and especially with leprosy patients since 1965.

However what really inspired me are the thoughts of Gladys Staines.

“I have nothing against India where I have received a great deal of love and affection,” she said. The missionary’s widow said she had nothing against anyone despite the gruesome killing of her husband and two sons five years back. However, she said she expected her husband’s killers to face the consequences for what they had done. “When you do wrong, you face the consequences. Even when a child tells its mother, `Sorry, mummy,’ the mother takes disciplinary action. It’s the same with those people [the killers].” Mrs. Staines was referring to Dara Singh, the prime accused in Mr. Staines’ murder. Singh was sentenced to death and 12 others to life imprisonment in September 2003.

Mrs. Staines, however, said she had forgiven the killers. “When we forgive, we allow the wounds to heal. Besides, by forgiving, we encourage other people to do the same.”

Mrs. Staines has been running the Baripada Leprosy Home after her husband’s killing, while trying to set up a referral hospital for leprosy patients near the leprosy home which Mr. Staines managed for several years. She said she was considering writing a book which would record her experiences in India, particularly in the last five years. “I want to keep the record straight for my family.”

How could anyone forgive the killers of her husband and son’s. But that’s what makes her a class above the rest. As aunt May said “I don’t think it’s for us to say weather a person deserves to live or die.”

Spidy gets hit very badly by Sandman and Brock.

News Reader: This could be a tragic day for the people of New York… Could be the end of Spider-Man…

Harry jumps in from nowhere and puts his hand forward towards spidy.

Harry Osborn: [Helping Spider-Man up] Came just in time

Peter Parker: Actually, a few minutes earlier wouldn’t have been so bad.

Brock makes a deadly move on Spidy. Harry gets in the way and takes the blow.

In the end Harry stays on the laps of spidy waiting to die ,

Peter Parker: Hey, pal. How you doing?

Harry Osborn: Been better.

Peter Parker: We’ll get you through this.

Harry Osborn: No.

Peter Parker: I should never have hurt you. Said those things.

Harry Osborn: None of that matters, Peter. You’re my friend.

Peter Parker: Best friend.

Harry dies on the Spidy’s lap.

Peter Parker: Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have raging inside us, we always have a choice. My friend Harry taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself. It’s the choices that make us who we are, and we can always choose to do what’s right.

N SO SHALL I REPEAT

“Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have raging inside us, we always have a choice. It’s the choices that make us who we are, and we can always choose to do what’s right.”

‘THE GREATEST BATTLE LIES WITHIN’

U GOT A CHOICE, ALWAYS
